Enjoy Long-Lasting Results with Radiesse

Radiesse® is very effective in diminishing the appearance of facial wrinkles. To alter the appearance of wrinkles, this injectable filler adds temporary volume to your skin, giving you a refreshed and more youthful appearance.

What is Radiesse®?

The Radiesse® formula consists of calcium-based microspheres that are suspended within a gel. The microspheres are very similar to minerals that can be found naturally within your body, which is the main reason why allergy testing isn’t required with this treatment.

After this treatment, your body begins to absorb the gel and microspheres, so the results from the treatment are temporary. Your body will eliminate the microspheres and leave behind natural collagen.

Radiesse® is delivered via injection, and after it has been introduced to the target area, it will cause your skin to become smoother. The formula is designed to plump your skin and give it a firmer appearance.

Over time, the formula also stimulates your body and causes it to produce natural collagen. Although your body will absorb the microspheres and cause the results to fade, the collagen that is left behind delivers long-lasting results.

What Can Be Treated?

Depending on your needs, Radiesse® can be injected into several areas of your face. It’s commonly used to correct smile lines, which are also called nasolabial folds. It is even effective for reducing the appearance of the lines that flow downward from your mouth, which are called marionette lines.

Some other common treatment areas are the corners of the mouth, chin wrinkles and pre-jowl folds. Clinical studies show that Radiesse® is effective for treating a wide variety of mild to moderate facial wrinkles.

How is Radiesse® Different?

Before considering this treatment, you should understand how it is different than other similar treatments. Unlike other dermal fillers, it’s the only product that is made from calcium-based microspheres.

Many patients choose this treatment because of its long-lasting results. Several dermal fillers offer results that last for six months, but the results from Radiesse® can last for up to 12 months or longer.

Studies also show that most patients are happier with the results they’ve achieved from Radiesse®. When compared with some of the alternatives, this injectable uses 30 percent less gel.

Radiesse® can deliver the long-lasting results that you’ve been looking for. If you’ve been considering ways to smooth out the signs of aging, you should definitely consider this treatment. Talk to the team at Metro Dermatology to see if it is right for you.
