Filling in Lines and Wrinkles with Dermal Fillers

Restoring a youthful glow and minimizing visible signs of aging are two goals that both men and women have. They try a variety of products and techniques to achieve a desirable physical appearance. They may drink more water, but find that this strategy only goes so far. Others try expensive make-up products, but are disappointed when the items rub off by the end of the day. Opting for dermal fillers is a more permanent way to combat lines and wrinkles in the skin and to achieve a smoother facial surface.

Dermal fillers have a variety of purposes although they are most well known for their ability to reduce the appearance of wrinkles. Filling in wrinkles allows for a smoother, younger looking skin and dermal fillers can address the appearance of some scars. Eliminating lines from the skin is another possibility with dermal fillers. They can also be used to plump the lips and restore volume to the cheeks.

Determining whether you are a candidate for dermal fillers is something you can discuss with our medical team at Metro Dermatology. Individuals who do not smoke are generally the best candidates for dermal fillers. In addition, people with certain skin conditions may lack eligibility for the procedure. After the treatment process ends, the skin may appear swollen, bruised, and/or red. These side effects are common and will fade over time. After full results are visible, you will be left with smooth, glowing skin.

At Metro Dermatology, we offer different dermal fillers to help you achieve the results you want. Depending on the issues you’d like to address, we can use multiple fillers for added benefits. We offer Juvederm®, Restylane®, Juvederm Voluma®, Radiesse®, and Sculptra®. Certain fillers are better to address crow’s feet and frown lines, while others are better at adding volume or plumping the lips.

We also offer BOTOX® and Dysport® treatments, which differ from dermal fillers in that they are injected into the muscles. BOTOX® and fillers are among our cosmetic specialties at Metro Dermatology and our medical team will work with you to create the most effective treatment plan for your needs.

If you’re experiencing visible signs of aging on your face, neck, or hands, dermal fillers can help. Contact Metro Dermatology today to schedule your consultation. We have New York area offices in Elmhurst, Englewood, Flushing, and Bronx for your convenience.
