Get Immediate and Long-Term Results with Radiesse®

Although there are many ways to get rid of fine lines and wrinkles on the face and around the lips and neck, it’s harder to get rid of deep lines and wrinkles around these areas. Treatment sessions are longer and more troublesome for cosmetic procedures involving deep lines and wrinkles, and they cost much more. Radiesse® is a new FDA (Food & Drug Administration) approved cosmetic filler that can be the perfect solution.

What is Radiesse® Made Of?

Radiesse® is a cosmetic solution that has the thickness and texture of a gel. There are microscopic particles that are suspended in the gel-like solution. These particles are composed of hydroxyapatite that is a form of calcium apatite, a mineral that the body naturally produces. It’s these suspended particles that provide the sturdy fullness that is needed when treating deep lines and wrinkles. Since hydroxylapatite is naturally produced by the body, there is no risk of any allergic reactions associated with its use as a cosmetic filler.

The Radiesse® Treatment Process

There is a process to getting the desired results from a Radiesse® treatment. Results can be seen immediately after undergoing treatment. For the first three months, Radiesse® acts mainly as a filler for getting rid of deep lines and wrinkles. It immediately smooths the skin and adds firmness by plumping up the wrinkled areas of the face and neck.

Then the stimulation of the production of collagen occurs. Collagen is a protein naturally produced in the human body that creates a youthful appearance. As humans age, the production of collagen begins to reduce, which causes the skin to lose its firmness and elasticity. The tiny particles in Radiesse® stimulate the growth of collagen, which leads to the development of new, younger looking skin tissue. The results of this development last for up to two years on average.

Other Uses of Radiesse®

Radiesse® is used for a wide variety of cosmetic procedures and actual health-related problems as well. Along with combating obvious signs of aging, it’s also used as a treatment for those with HIV suffering from facial lipoatrophy. This is a condition in which disfigurement is caused by a loss of fat in the face, buttocks, and limbs. The use of Radiesse® in the affected areas helps return them to their normal shape, decreasing socially alienating disfigurement.

Women and men who have problems with oral or facial defects that resulted from injury and diseases can benefit from Radiesse® treatments. It can be used as a safer, faster and more convenient alternative to implant surgery.

Considerations

The perfect candidates for Radiesse® treatments are usually women and men who are 35 to 60 years old who show obvious signs of mild to medium aging. Those who show extreme signs of aging would be better off investing in facelifts or other surgical procedures. Even though the immediate results of Radiesse® treatments are long-lasting, they are not permanent. There may be a need to undergo multiple treatments to maintain the desired results.
