Reverse the Signs of Aging with CO2 Fractional Resurfacing

CO2 fractional resurfacing has been gaining popularity among people looking to address skin issues such as wrinkling, sunspots, hyperpigmentation and hypopigmentation. Many start out learning about CO2 fractional resurfacing when they first start to experience fine lines and wrinkles in their early thirties. Some have been battling acne for years and their skin just looks unhealthy. Many women experience changes in their skin’s appearance and texture as a result of pregnancy. They are left with skin that is dull and that appears unhealthy.

Before jumping into CO2 fractional resurfacing, many have tried high-end beauty products and chemical peels. Unfortunately, they do not produce the results that they are looking for. And so they turn to CO2 fractional resurfacing. They are surprised at how amazing the results are.

When a person visits our clinic for CO2 fractional resurfacing, the first thing that generally happens is that a numbing cream is applied to their face. The professional performing the treatment will review what is going to happen during the treatment. Once the numbing cream has had time to work, the procedure is able to begin. For the most part, the entire procedure is comfortable because the patient’s face is very numb. During the actual procedure, fractionated energy is used to encourage the body’s collagen production.

The entire procedure will take approximately one hour. Once the procedure is done, the numbing cream will be washed off your face. Someone will need to pick you up and take you back home. If you want, you can return to your normal duties, but it is often recommended that you rest for the first 24 hours. It is imperative that you keep your face clean for the first 48 hours after treatment. You may be able to use baby wipes and cold water dabbed over your face. When all is said and done, you will have beautiful, healthy, smooth skin that can last for years.

CO2 fractional resurfacing is a powerful tool. It can combat many serious skin issues and leave you looking and feeling young, vibrant and healthy. Although this treatment is extremely effective, it may not be best for everyone. That is why it is crucial for you to consult with our experts at Metro Dermatology.
