In light of the rapidly evolving situation regarding the COVID-19 virus, we want to remind you that as a healthcare facility, we will remain open as long as patients continue to need us. As you would expect of any healthcare facility, we are committed to keeping a clean, sanitized environment at Metro Dermatology and regularly follow disinfection and sterilization guidelines.
We consider the health and safety of our community a priority and recommend the following to prevent the further spread of COVID-19.
If you exhibit flu-like symptoms such as fever, cough, shortness of breath or breathing difficulties, please stay home. If you have had contact with a person who has the flu or Covid-19, please stay home and consult your healthcare provider. If you are coughing or sneezing, please stay home. If your cough is allergy related please cover your cough with a tissue and immediately toss into a trash receptacle. If we see anyone who exhibits flu-like symptoms, we will request the person go home and rest until after these symptoms have disappeared. All last minute cancellation charges will be waived during this time period.
Our efforts to keep our offices germ free include cleaning and sanitizing countertops, door handles, bathroom fixtures, exam chairs and often-touched areas regularly throughout the day.
Our Providers will treat patients only if they are feeling 100% healthy and to wash their hands with soap for a minimum of 20 seconds before and after each patient visit – and we recommend you do the same.
Please check our website prior to your appointment in case there are any cancellations due to staffing shortages, or any other reason.
We will continue to keep you all informed if cancellations of offices become necessary. We will remain a resource for the health and well-being of our community, even if it must be virtually for a short period of time. Please feel free to reach out to us with your questions or concerns.
